Each university assesses Pakistani qualifications and English-language evidence against its own course requirements. An English-test waiver or a foundation pathway must be confirmed by the institution; it is not automatic.
British Council guidance gives broad international tuition ranges of £11,400–£38,000 for undergraduate study and £9,000–£30,000 for postgraduate study. These are indicative planning figures, not a quote for your course. Ask for the university’s current fee schedule and the total cost of the full qualification.
An eligible course offer and Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) are central to the Student visa process. Your financial, English-language and other evidence must satisfy the current UKVI requirements. Admission and visa decisions are separate.
Eligible students on full-time degree-level courses with a qualifying sponsor can usually work up to 20 hours a week during term time. Other study routes can have a lower limit or no work permission. Follow your visa conditions; a dissertation period is not automatically a vacation.
The Graduate visa lasts two years for applications made on or before 31 December 2026, and 18 months for applications made on or after 1 January 2027. Eligible PhD and other doctoral graduates retain a three-year route. You must meet the route’s requirements and apply from inside the UK before your Student permission expires.
Use the Graduate visa rule for your expected application date when comparing study options. Starting a course in 2026 does not lock in a two-year Graduate visa.
Compare academic requirements, modules, location and the total qualification cost.
Bring together your academic record, English evidence, statement and references.

Some universities accept other English tests or specific prior-study evidence. Acceptance depends on the course and institution, and visa English requirements must also be met. Ask for written confirmation before relying on a waiver.
Many taught master’s courses are one year full-time, but research, part-time and placement routes can take longer. Compare the exact course structure and total fee rather than assuming the same duration for every programme.
For non-doctoral graduates, the published Graduate visa duration is 18 months when the application is made from 1 January 2027. Eligibility and the rules in force when you apply still matter.
